Talent Management and Employee Resourcing in FMCG Companies

Talent management is a constant process that involves attracting and retaining high-quality employees, developing their skills, and continuously motivating them to improve their performance.

The primary purpose of talent management is to create a motivated workforce who will stay with the company in the long run. The exact way to achieve this will differ from company to company.

The spice processing factories need talented and experienced persons. For example, when you operate production machinery you should be aware of color, taste, and recipes. It comes from experience. The talent is to the get correct product with maximum efficiency in minimum supervision.

Talented and experienced machine operators have high demand from other companies. Machine operators try to start their production when they have taken experience and money. The HR department needs a strategic plan to keep machine operators with companies.

Another thing is spice recipes are in with the machine operator or officers. when they resign from companies its main damage occurs to company market shares ( ex: Maliban & Manchee Cream Cracker recipe)

Experienced machine operators are limited in the Spice processing industry and there took a long time to build a better machine operator. To prevent this HRM should plan the employees.

Employee resourcing and talent management play a huge role when it comes to Strategic human resource planning. Talent management is about retaining talented employees and develop their skills and knowledge for career opportunities within the organization. According to your article I noticed that machine operators have a huge demand in the industry and it takes time for them to well equipped with their job. Also organizations have the responsibilities to create opportunities for personal and professional growth. Hence there should be proper strategies in place in order to create a talent pool within organization.

Talent Management and employee resourcing are the basics of any business strategy.
As you have mentioned here if a prospective employee leaves the organization there will be a gap which needs to be fulfilled. If the company had a proper succession planning in Talent Management they will replaced the position with someone in their identified talent pool. Also this applies for the food receipts used in Munchee and Maliban Biscuits products and in any food manufacturing industry as proper Talent Management processes(Employee Development ,Performance Management) will develop the employees to invent new receipts.

Yes, Lihiru you mention the benefits of Tallent Management.

Hasini Thanks for the comment. I believe the FCMG industry maintains secret recipes. Talent management can develop recipes but Lot of companies use their main recipes without any changes. If someone resigns working with a secret recipe, It harmful to the company.

Commonalities among top talent managers include a strong commitment to relationship building, an emphasis on listening and learning, a positive, problem-solving attitude, and a willingness to use all available technological tools to aid in the recruitment process.

Thanks for the comment Anjula.Your Thinking is correct for this industry.

Highly agreed with you Thushara, as you said an employee who is leaving the organization with a secret receipt is doing a great damage as the product will no longer be available in the market and consumer image will be damaged. Facing this negative impact will be hard but still can be done with new receipts through the innovation of the existing employees.

THUSHARA said...

I agree with you Hasini. But the problem is how we recovery our recipe damage. market share can be divided by recipe change.

Yes Thushara. Employees’ talent is a main important factor since they plays a responsible role in the workplace. They are the people in the working process until get the output. My thinking is organization should have a proper plan to develop employees' talents and skills and make knowledgeable and well experienced workforce. Otherwise they are seem to be machineries.

Well said Kavinda, I agree with your comment. we should build talented and skillful employees, not a machine.
